How we picked
The pool contains 7 VR headset listings whose titles say controllers come with the headset. The headsets are compared on the details each listing states: type, storage, mixed reality, plays PC VR, eye tracking, and controllers included. Picks are ordered by the number of stated yes details among mixed reality, plays PC VR, eye tracking, and controllers included (most first), then by stated storage (larger first), then by the order in the pool file. No price comparisons are made beyond the live price shown on the page.
How to choose
Controllers included in the title
All headsets in this guide state in their listing title that controllers come with the headset. This means you do not need to buy controllers separately. However, the type of controller (motion, 3DoF, 6DoF) is not stated by the seller in the title; check the listing for details.
Standalone, PC VR or PlayStation
The type tells you what the headset needs to run. Standalone headsets operate on their own, with no PC or console required. PC VR headsets need a gaming PC. PlayStation headsets require a PlayStation console. Choose based on what hardware you already own or plan to buy.
Mixed reality on a listing
Some listings state mixed reality, MR, XR, or passthrough. This means the headset can show the room around you through its cameras. If you want to see your surroundings while in an app, look for a headset that states mixed reality.
What comes in the box
The title states controllers are included, but other items like cables, straps, or games may also be part of the bundle. Read the full listing to see everything included. The guide compares only what the title states.
What this guide leaves out (and why)
This guide does not cover comfort, image quality, tracking accuracy, or battery life because the catalogue has no data for those. The site does not guess. Follow the maker's health and safety guidance and age guidance when using any headset.
Questions
Does this guide test the headsets for comfort or image quality?
No. The guide compares headsets only on the details each listing states and on the live price. The catalogue does not include data on comfort, weight, clarity, or field of view. The site does not guess those attributes.
Can I use a PlayStation VR headset with a PC?
The listings do not state PC VR compatibility. PlayStation VR headsets are designed for PlayStation consoles. For PC VR, look for a headset that states it plays PC VR or is a PC VR type.
What does 'controllers included' mean for a standalone headset?
It means the headset comes with controllers in the box. Standalone headsets can run apps without a PC, and the controllers let you interact with virtual environments. The type of controller (e.g., 6DoF) is not stated in the title; check the listing.
Why are there only 7 picks in this guide?
The pool contains all VR headset listings on the site whose titles state controllers are included. After removing near-duplicates (same model and storage size), 7 distinct listings remain. Every one is included.
How do I know if a headset supports eye tracking?
Eye tracking is stated in the listing title if present. None of the headsets in this guide state eye tracking. If that feature is important, look for a headset whose title says eye tracking.
